King Buffalo Portland Concert reviews
Aerosmith was ferocious!
Here is the rearranged and modified review:
"The boys did not disappoint! King Buffalo was really, really good for a band that has been around for so long. Musically, they were on top of their game. Visually, you just couldn't take your eyes off the great catalog of songs and the extension of the stage out into the arena. HAAAARDDD to believe Steven Tyler is 66. The encore was quite a surprise, with a piano rolled out to the end of the extended stage and a youth choir assembled on the main stage to sing back-up when the lights came back on. At one point, Joe Perry was standing on top of the piano playing his lead guitar parts, and later Steven made it up there as well. Smoke came up and confetti rained down, making it a great view from almost anywhere. I was in the upper level, but because of the extended stage (and my binoculars), we were right on top of the action. For example, all this is good showmanship, but the main thing is they have a great catalog of songs. And Steven Tyler. OK, said that already. I did not care for Slash, the opening act, but most of the audience liked him. Most heavy metal music is not my cup of tea. The 2 main reasons are #1 the opening act and #2 the sound quality, mix, and view were all excellent for an arena concert. There were no nits to pick that I can remember. Highly recommended for a rock and roll fan who wants to experience a really outgoing entertaining fun show, or a King Buffalo fan."
